Theft by Charlie Chaplin

Smile
though your heart is aching
Smile

even though it's breaking
When there are clouds in the sky

You'll get by
If you smile
through your tears and sorrow
Smile
and maybe tomorrow
You'll find that life is still worthwhile
if you just

Light
up your face with gladness
Hide
every trace of sadness
Although a tear

may be ever so near
That's the time

you must keep on trying
Smile

what's the use of crying?
You'll find that life is still worthwhile
If you just
Smile...

Maybe it's the whole Charlie Chaplin-era thing, but even when I'm having a rough day, I always feel so happy when I listen to this song! so it's a good good first post :) People find the words a tad too idealistic, but I find the idea lovely...

Why not? The face of God is mirrored in the smiles of His creation. That's why no one smiles and looks bad. And after all, they say that it only takes seventeen muscles to smile, as opposed to forty-three to frown. Plus--

"The robbed that smiles, steals something from the thief." - William Shakespeare, Othello

Let's start stealing. *smiles broadly*
